A clearer way to follow treatment

Know what to do today. Know what comes next.

Phase turns complex treatment instructions into clear, day-by-day guidance so patients can focus on what matters now without losing sight of what comes next.

Explore a fictional 10-day antibiotic treatment plan.

The problem

Care instructions are not always easy to follow.

Treatment instructions can be spread across paperwork, portals, medication labels, and provider conversations. Phase organizes that information into a clear daily plan so patients can understand what they need to do now and what to expect next.

Too much information at once
Instructions that change over time
Uncertainty about the next step
Fear of missing something important

How it works

A clearer way to follow treatment

01

Add your instructions

Paste sample treatment instructions from your provider.

02

Phase organizes the plan

In this concept, AI would organize the information into daily steps without changing the clinical instructions. Plan generation is simulated in this prototype.

03

Focus on today

See what matters now, what is complete, and what comes next.

How Phase uses AI

Organization and comprehension, not clinical decision-making.

Research behind the next iteration

Can patients tell what to do next?

Phase explores whether organizing treatment instructions into daily steps can make them easier to understand and follow. The next step is to test that assumption with patients and use what we learn to improve the experience.

Understanding today’s tasks

Can someone identify what they need to do today, when to do it, and what is still outstanding?

Understanding progress

Can someone distinguish their current treatment day from the actions they have marked complete?

Knowing what to trust

Can someone find the original instructions, check the organized plan, and understand what the AI has and has not done?

How I would test it

I would run task-based usability sessions using fictional treatment instructions. Participants would review a plan, explain the next steps in their own words, mark an action complete, and check the plan against its source. I would look for misunderstandings, task errors, and moments of uncertainty, then revise the experience and test again.

Proposed research plan. This prototype has not yet been validated with patients.
